Her children will rise up and call her blessed.” (Proverbs 31: 25-28) I am a Christian … and I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. The collection of writing you may read here began a few years ago, when I was in the middle of my mom-ing and it's offered with gratitude. During the last thirty years or so, as I've run to the Bible to make sense of my life, God has been faithful to welcome me, encourage me. Sometimes it was a healing balm for my troubled soul, sometimes confirmation of the Spirit’s voice, often it was forgiveness for a wanting human effort. And though I sometimes feel God is not here with me, He is... as close as my Bible, as close as my heart ~ ready to listen, ready to instruct, ready to put on the other side of the heavy yoke and give me rest. “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness ~ so that I, a woman of God, may be adequate and equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3: 16, 17)
